Opposites Game
Travel to the Fun and Games category of the main website
for this simple word game. Write two words that are opposites on a stack of
index cards, and challenge two teams of kids to come up with as many examples
of each word as they can in one minute. Opposites attract! And this game builds
fluency, vocabulary, and fast-thinking skills.

Nature Creatures
Nothing makes you love and appreciate the natural environment more than seeing
it up close and personal. You can combine this activity with (1) a nature walk
in a nearby park to collect these materials, and (2) a creative writing
exercise afterwards, in which the students write stories that "star" their
Nature Creatures.
