WRITING
Running Away From the Run-On Sentence
Here's a tricky way to
combine the good exercise of running with the good exercise of learning when to
use a period to avoid the common writing error of a run-on sentence.

Snack: per student, 1 C. skim
milk, 2 T. Jell-O instant pudding, 4 oz. ice cream, blender, serving cup
Supplies: access to a running
track is ideal but you could run around inside a gym in inclement weather, or
outside around a playground or parking lot

MATH
Doubletree
As students build a paper
tree on the wall, their awareness of the mathematical effects of doubling will
"climb" and "grow."

Make your own mini-pollution
problem inside a zip-lock bag, and see what the impact is on some tiny seeds.
Then you'll grow up green and never let this happen for real!

short, simple hip-hop tutorials online. Within 20 minutes, you'll be smokin'
hot as a dancer!
