Book Buddies: 'You Go, I Go, Repeat' Game
This simple game is a great way for two Book Buddies to
develop listening and decoding skills at the same time. Besides, it's always
fun to take turns!

Editing: Writing Clearly - A
Mark-Up Critique
Here's a list of common writing problems that prevent readers from quickly and
accurately understanding a piece of writing. Students can critique each other's
papers with these simple abbreviations, and become aware of the things that are
keeping them from writing clearly.

Challenge
Who knew there was so much excitement with the number 23? This fun activity
will build each student's number-sense and thinking skills.

ART
Eggshell Art
This is a fun way to learn that art doesn't always have to be "flat." Using
crushed eggshells makes it a tactile, 3-D experience that's eggs-actly what
kids like.

Snack: hard-boiled or scrambled eggs - be sure to keep the eggshells for this
project!
Supplies: At least 2 crushed eggshells per student (you can use a rolling pin
or your fingers and put the eggshells in a zip-lock bag to create a supply),
zip-lock bag, vinegar, food coloring, small containers, spoons, paper towels,
