Be an After School Angel! 

  

There are three great ways to get involved and help disadvantaged kids in Omaha's after-school programs: 

  

1. After School Angel 

  

You can become an After School Angel for a donation of $100 or more. Your donation will be 100% tax-deductible under the 501(c)(3) charitable designation that we should have in place by the end of the year. 

  

We will list your name below (unless you wish to remain anonymous) and use your donation to fund one of the mini-grants listed at the top right-hand corner of this website. 

  

We will send you an After School Treats bookmark with our thanks, and a letter of confirmation for your tax records.

2. After School Treats Activity Sponsor / Mini-Grant Funder 

  

For a donation of $250 or more, you can underwrite a Mini-Grant (see the upper right-hand corner of the homepage) OR sponsor an After School Treat activity on the website. Choose from more than 35 categories and hundreds of activities found on the left-hand side of the homepage. 

  

We will match that activity with an after-school program in the Omaha area for the students to do. You'll be providing them with a healthy snack and all materials and supplies. We will publish your name and/or company name and logo, or the logo of your favorite charity or organization, with that activity for one year. And you'll receive a thank-you note with photos from the students!

3. After School Angel Volunteer 

  

After School Treats is a clearinghouse for volunteers. These are people who volunteer to help after-school programs serving disadvantaged children and youth on a one-time basis, once a month, once a week, or any time commitment in between. 

  

Whether it's tutoring or serving meals, deep-cleaning or assisting staff, there's always a need for an extra set of hands in an after-school setting. You will have to pass a routine security clearance, which After School Treats will pay for, and provide your own transportation to and from the after-school.
